Dear Friends,
Charlie here !! Hope everyone is doing well. We have the sunshine in Scotland just now and it is lovely. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine too. My broken leg mended very well indeed -I can't do binkies anymore (sob, sob) but I can still run very fast (the two foots still can't catch me !!). I am still a single bun as no-one could ever replace my Daisy. I am happy enough especially as Mum is on holiday until next Tuesday so I have company most of the day as she is having a lazy week !! Two foots are sooooooooo LAZY sometimes ...... !!
Have a great week everyone and get those two foots running around after all you buns as that is all they are good for - being our slaves !!

Hi Dear Friends,
Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry for not writing much this year - must try harder in 2008 !! I would like to say a very big thank you for all the nice xmas cards that I received and a special thank you to Merridoe, Ringo and the twofoots for their lovely present. Mum liked it very much indeed - she said she will get it stuffed next year (don't like the sound of that) !!
We hope everyone has a brilliant Christmas and gets lot and lots of presents from Santa Bun.

Hi All,
Thanks for all your kind messages. They are much appreciated by all of us. Mum and I had a little chat today and she has said that (in time) if I start to feel lonely that it would be my decision if I would like to try and find a new friend. No-one could ever replace my Daisy but Mum has given the following good reasons for thinking about this:-
1) We could give a forever home to some poor bun currently living in a rescue centre.
2) I have someone to play and hopefully snuggle with when the two foots are sleeping or at work.
I will certainly give this some thought over the next few weeks but maybe you guys could help me decide. Mum thinks I will accept a new friend very easily as I am a very easy going and friendly bunny but we will need to be careful when considering other buns.
Decisions, Decisions !!
PS: My Mum says if anyone has any advice about trying to help me find a new friend she would be very grateful indeed as she is fairly new to this process as Daisy and I just bonded straight away without any fighting.

It is with a very heavy heart (and paws) that we write to tell you all that our dear sweet Daisy passed to the bridge this morning. We hope all the buns at the bridge will be there to guide her on her way and take care of her for us.
We loved you so much Daisy and always will.

Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a great christmas - we did. We had the best time on christmas morning opening our presents and helping mum and dad open their presents too!!. Having seen the photos it looks like everyone got lots of great presents - try not to break them before the New Year (if you do just get the two foots to buy new ones using that paper stuff). Our presents were wrapped in paper stuff - can we use that to buy food and treats for ourselves - we hope so ??

| Mischief !! |

Hi all,
You will be glad to know that during our absence we have been getting up to lots of mischief. Our latest party trick is to wait until Mum and Dad leave the room then hop up on the sofa and dig. Sometimes we hop up onto the window ledge and stare at people passing in the street - we get some strange looks.
It was Charlie's Birthday last Sunday - he was 5 years young. I was at the vet this week for another dental - that has been five months since my last one and Mum was really happy with me as I recovered very quickly this time.
We can't wait for christmas now - Mum and Dad are all ready and are going to the pub this Friday after work for a 'FEW' drinks - that's what they always say but usually end up coming home very wobbly indeed !!!
We sent some cards out but did not have many addresses so very sorry if you don't get a card from us - we would like all your addresses for next year please.

Poor Daisy is at the VET again today getting another dental. She is fine and we hope that she will be home again tomorrow. Daisy is an expert when it comes to dentals as she has had loads of them now and she is always very brave about it. If it was me I'd be terrified and cry like a baby but Daisy just takes it in her stride. I'm so proud of her for that.

Hi All,
Sorry for not posting much lately but we have still been reading all your journals. Mum came home from work tonight and we hardly recognised her - she looked like she had an AFRO !! It's been raining all day today but it is still very hot and humid which has caused Mum's hair to go all frizzy. She is not happy as she has quite long hair and she says it looks likes a bird's nest. Dad is just laughing ...... Does anybun else have this problem with their two foots hair or their own fur ???

| They are back !! |

Today at 1.30 PM the two foots finally returned to the burrow and we have been ignoring them all day. Mum gave us a very large helping of dandelions but even that did not make us feel much better. Dad is a much darker colour than usual (something they call a TAN) but Mum is just sort of red or pink in bits (something they call SUNBURN). They sem to have had a very good time and Mum did say that she missed us lots and lots so we might forgive them tomorrow.
We will try to catch up with everyone's journals tomorrow and we hope that everyone has been enjoying the lovely sunny weather.
Snuggles to all (especially Loppy - from Daisy)
PS: Well done England - hope no buns two foots are all wobbly tonight after the football match !!

After Daisy's recent dental and my six monthly check up + VHD booster injection at the VET we have both been given a clean bill of health. Daisy is back to her usual destructive self. We have heard that Mum and Dad are away on holiday next week and although we are looking forward to some peace and quiet we will miss them both very much. We might have to punish them upon their return to the burrow just to let them know that we are NOT happy being left home alone for a whole week. A very nice lady comes and visits us twice a day to feed us and clean up any poo that we want to leave lying about so that's OK but it's not the same as having Mum and Dad here ......... !!

Hi All,
As we were worried about Willoe, Casper and their two foot we sent them an e-mail to check up on them. Everyone is OK but Willoe and Casper both have 'funny' tummies just now but they are both still very bright-eyed, playful and eating OK (however not as much as usual). Their two foot had a small accident recently and has a trapped nerve and sore neck which makes it difficult for her to type on the PC. They are all still around and have promised to update their journal as soon as they can.
Hurry back guys - we miss you !!

A huge THANK YOU to Merry and her two foots for sending us raisins and some treats for the two foots too. With everything her two foots have going on in their lives right now they are still thinking about everyone else - How KIND !! We asked Dad to put the treats in the fridge but within about one hour MUM had scoffed the whole lot. One minute they were there then all of sudden - GONE !! All that remained were little bits of silver foil and little paper things (being honest we think she ate some of those too !!) - Greedy Mum !!

| Off to the VET again !! |

Poor Daisy - she has been a bit off colour recently and after a check up with the VET needs another dental (this is booked for Wednesday). Mum is 'kinda' happy it happened just now as they go away on holiday soon to a place called 'London' so hopefully Daisy will be all better before they go.
I must admit I hope that Daisy is better soon as she has been a bit 'grouchy' towards me and keeps attacking me. I have been trying to make her feel better but nothing helps - except HERBS !! I just hope that Mum has lots of herbs that I can give to her otherwise the fur (my fur) will be flying during the next few days as Daisy rips chunks out of me !!.
How long till Wednesday ??????

Just wanted to say that we are sorry to hear about Rhia's tumour. We hope that she hangs in there as long as she can as she deserves as much love and attention after the awful time she had before she came to Ebony Eyes. Be pain free sweet one and give all the hairy mob and Jay and John extra special snuggles right now (they will be needing them) !!

A huge THANK YOU to the Hareum Bunnies as they sent us a lovely present today. Tasty blueberry yoghurt drops and raisins. I loved the new drops but Charlie was a little unsure at first and sort of pushed it around the carpet with his nose. I ate my treat and then I ate his too - that will teach him to play with his food. Can't wait to get my paws on more .....

Today was the best this year !!!! It was so sunny and very warm - blue skies all day - PERFECT !!
I (Charlie) went into the garden for a while and had a good sniff around but Daisy stayed indoors as she was too scared. Sometimes I would get a fright when a big seagull would fly past, making lots of noise but Dad was always there to protect me. Hope it stays like this all week.....

We caught Mum eating a very large chocolate bunny last night. She said she was not sure where or how to start eating it (the ears, face, paws or the butt) but she started with the ears. She seemed to enjoy it too. She did not even finish it - she left it half eaten - only the butt and the back paws remained -she said that she will finish it off tonight !!!!!! HOW CRUEL !!

Poor Mum - I think she is allergic to all my 'moulting' fur !!! By the time she had finished cleaning our hutch and litter tray tonight she was all sneezy and puffy eyed. She has not stopped sneezing all night and her eyes keep watering. Even Charlie was sneezing this morning. Mum had to check him out as she thought he had the 'snuffles' or something but it turned out it was just my fur sticking to his mouth and whiskers !! I'll probably just finish my moult and Charlie will start his !!!!!! |
